Refund Policy

1. Service Fee vs. IRS Tax
This refund policy applies only to the service fee charged by Fast2290Filing.com for our managed e-filing service. The actual Heavy Vehicle Use Tax (HVUT) paid to the IRS is a separate federal tax obligation and is not refundable by us. For IRS tax refunds or credits, contact the IRS directly.
2. Before Transmission to the IRS
If your Form 2290 has not yet been transmitted to the IRS, you may request a full refund of the service fee. Contact us at support@fast2290filing.com as soon as possible. Refunds for pre-transmission cancellations are typically processed within 5-7 business days.
3. After Transmission to the IRS
Once your Form 2290 has been electronically transmitted to the IRS, the service fee is non-refundable. This is because the filing work (preparation, review by a licensed tax preparer, and electronic transmission) has been completed.
4. IRS Rejections
If the IRS rejects your filing due to an error on our part, we will correct and re-transmit the return at no additional charge. If the rejection is due to incorrect information provided by you (e.g., invalid EIN, incorrect VIN), we will work with you to correct the filing. A re-filing fee may apply if the error requires a new filing.
5. Duplicate Filings
If you accidentally submit and pay for a duplicate filing for the same vehicle(s) and EIN, contact us immediately. We will refund the duplicate service fee provided the duplicate return has not yet been transmitted.
6. How to Request a Refund
To request a refund, email us at support@fast2290filing.com with your order confirmation number and the reason for the refund request. We aim to respond to all refund requests within one business day.
7. Refund Method
Approved refunds are returned to the original payment method (credit or debit card) used at checkout. Processing time depends on your card issuer but typically takes 5-10 business days.
